I had upper eyelid surgery 20 yrs ago, age 40, for ptosis. All went well, scars near invisible. But now I think it needs doing again and maybe the lower lids too? I have seen an Oculoplastic surgeon, who feels only the upper lids need doing. To remove 10mm of excess skin and trim the fat pads in the upper nasal area. He says to look at skin tightening options for the lower lid with laser or CO2 etc. It is the lower lids that bothers me most, having slight festoons now. Opinions appreciated.
Hello 40s white male good health . I had a bad fall 15 months ago landed on my eye on sidewalk. It was badly bruised and got a small linear flat scar that has since faded but the puffiness did not get better . I had MRI 6 weeks after fall and nothing was broken . Report came back with soft tissue Edema in eye socket . I have since gone to eye doctors and derms and have been given zero guidance or treatment . Only 1 suggestion was possible it is lymphatic fluid and to use eye roller . Its not hard and doesnt hurt . Just puffy and when press on it its soft . Any thoughts ? Thank you
I had eyelid surgery 3 years ago and I have white scars and its very noticeable and below the incision scars my eyelids are kinda purple tint , Im not sure why ? They were not like that before. I was told Im not a candidate for co2 laser by one surgeon bc of my skin color and ethnicity ( Asian) my surgeon suggested different skin treatments, not of them worked. At this point , is the only option revision? The scar is not a straight curved line like I see most others. Im very self conscious about them.
Hello everyone So Im considering lower lid retraction with spacer graft and canthopexy in order to get a more masculine eyes but Im very concerned about the scars of the canthopexy. Do they fade entirely after a certain time since they are very small incisions ? Thank you
I had upper and lower Bleph on Jan 26, 2018. Today would be 3 1/2 months after surgery. I have what seems to be milia. My next appointment will be mid June. Dr said to wait since I am a strong or slow healer, he will re-check and will take care of the bumps. Any recommendations to avoid additional scar tissue?
My eyelid scar is above my natural crease and moreso on the left eye where now there is a fold between crease and scar. Does it appear I have enough skin to move scar into crease area without causing too much skin removed?
I had upper & lower bleph done 18 months ago. Am happy w/ lower as my bags are gone (am 49 years old & they were aging me more). I am very unhappy w/ the results of my upper as i have a visible indented scar that extends beyod the eyelid crease. In almost all lighting, the scar is visible as it extends approx 1/4 inch &is quite wide. On the other side , it is smaller but is white.Even make-up cannot hide these scars. I feel that people look at them instead of giving me eye contact. I have to style my hair to conceal these scars. I usually pull my hair back or away from my face but now they must be like curtains hiding these scars. Please advise if anything can be done to lessen the scars. Tx
I had blepharoplasty 1.5 years ago. Its left me with a thick lumpy scar and did not address my right eyebrow ptosis that is now worse. What happened to form such a scar and what is best to move forward, revision and brow lift or just brow lift?
