The only thing my doctor says is you must be one of those. I have lost confidence in the doctor. Would you have any advice for me? Would Arnica help at this point? I am willing to wait for the swelling to go down, but I am beginning to wonder if there is something that I can do to hasten the result. I also have the bumps at the end of where the stitches were and the doctor says, if not better in another week, call and I will inject steroid. I am also not comfortable with that answer.
12 days post upper bleph. Despite faithfully using arnica, bromelain and Vitamin C for 2 weeks pre surgery, I got two very black eyes, lots of swelling and my scar lines are very visible and bumpy in some spots. It's only with lots of dermablend and my long bangs that I'm able to even go out in public. I feel like I will never look normal again. Am I disfigured for life? I feel sick to my stomach when I look in the mirror. Please help.
I had upper and lower blepharoplasty about 10 years ago. I had a SMAS facelift 3 years ago. It's time to get my eyes done again. For me, the blepharoplasty surgery was really tough and the facelift was a walk in the park. When I had my eyes done 10 years ago, they itched during recovery. I had significant swelling and bruising. Is there anything I can do before hand to have an easier recovery? Of course I'll ask my doctor what he recommends but all recommendations are appreciated.
I am getting lower blepharoplasty done and wanted to mitigate the bruising as much as possible. Can I take arnica or bromelain (or both) tablets prior to having surgery done and would that prevent bruising better than just taking it post surgery?
I'm having revision lower blepharoplasty next month. I had bruising for 6 weeks after the first surgery. Do you recommend Bromelain and/or Arnica before surgery as well as after? My Dr. seemed somewhat indifferent to there use. If I do take these herbs, how much and when should I start taking it? I really don't want to be in hiding for another six weeks!
I'm going to be having eyelid surgery (top and bottom) and have been okayed to continue with my Zyrtec D. I would like to take bromelain and arnica Montana also and wonder if it's okay to take those in combination with the Zyrtec D? Also, how close to surgery would you recommend I begin taking them, and how long after? Thank you.
Three and 1/2 weeks ago, I had a lower Blepharoplasty and a mid-face lift. I am still swollen and bruised under my eyes. Why is it taking so long to go away? When will it go away? Also I just read about Arnica, so I just now started taking it with Bromelain. Will this help with my bruising and swelling since I did not start it right away?
I had a lower Blepharoplasty performed 3 months ago and experienced severe bruising which settled below my eye. I applied cold compresses for twelve days, and discovered a topical arnica treatment (bruise guard)that I have applied since then. The bruises are still present, brownish and puffy in color, and are in a moon shape crescent on the upper most portion of my cheeks. I have massaged them, applied bruise guard daily, and want to know what else can be done. I look more tired than ever with the bruises. Deb
I am having lower bleph and and neck lift in August and have sensitive blood pressure. will small doses of Arnica raise blood pressure? I have read that it can raise blood pressure but not sure if this includes small doses at short term usage. if ok, should i take it immediately after or before the surgery? I take blood pressure medication and its generally well controlled.
