Hello, I had otoplasty when I was a very young child, it is now 30 years later and I'm self conscious about how close my ears are too my head. You can barely see my ears when facing straight. Is it possible to reverse the otoplasty?
The side of my ear that was sticking out most now appears stuck to my head but the bottom is still out. If there is any way to do a reversal pinning and make the ear appear normal or midway reversal
Hello. I had otoplasty September 2017. It has been 4 months of feeling extremely uncomfortable with the results. My ears have healed nicely per my surgeon, however, I feel they were overcorrected and I would like the sutures to be completely removed. What is the possibility of removing the sutures to bring me back to my original ears? My ears have felt so uncomfortable and I honestly feel that my ears were just to big in my cartilage area and the fold the surgeon placed there is too much.
my bandages were removed 3 days ago and my ears looked perfect, but i was left with glue on my ears and was told to wait until it comes off by itself. now, most of the glue has fell off as it was stuck to my hair rather than my skin and now my ears have returned to their original position. i know i'm supposed to wait 6 weeks to see the final results since my ears are swollen and bruised, but i honestly can't see how they'll go back to how they were when the bandages were first taken off.
Dear Doctors, two months have passed since my otoplasty procedure, and ears have turned back a little compared to the first week after bandages were removed (I wore them two weeks 24/7), the left one especially, so they are asymmetrical now. Is this normal, and if it is, how long it will last for them to take stable position? Is there anything I cold do to correct this now? How dangerous can be if I go to the another correction?
the surgeon had put in dissolving stitches the first time. He re-did the procedure about 8 months later and used permanent stitches. He did not remove any cartilage either time. The ears are slipping back towards original appearance, at the tops, in the last couple months. The left ear is back out where it was at the top before surgery. Right ear has slipped out about 1/16 inch. left ear cartilage is much stiffer than right ear. What should i do? this was and is important to me
Dear madam ,sir i had an otoplasty about 4 years ago and my ears were overcorrected , my surgeon said its hard to fix so i saw some others surgeons and they suggest two different ways to go 1.skin graft 2.cartilage graft so i m confused which way to go bcoz i ve heard skin graft might leave too much scars but according to few docs its the only way at my case as all skin was revomed at privios surgery
I had otoplasty done 2 years ago and Im not satisfied with the result. My ears are asymetrical (though the form of them are not the same). The surgeon did a antihelical fold on one of my ears but not the other so it looks weird to me because the fold is very pointy. Can I reverse this fold and make it more soft like before again if the surgeon did not remove any cartilage and used dissolvable sutures
