I am a 35 year old South Asian female. I have atrophic scarring on cheeks and some light PIH. The atrophic scarring is rolling, boxcar scars. Since 2019, I had 3 microneedling sessions w/ PRP, 9 Clear and Brilliant sessions and 1 HALO laser. C&B is not invasive enough. I saw some improvement after the first microneedling session w/ PRP and little improvement with HALO laser. Should I do another HALO or instead opt for Cool Peel w/ RF Microroneedling treatments? Haven't tried Cool Peel or RF.
I want to try co2 on my hands as per understanding these are the only lasers that get rid of the damaged scale like skin, but want to know if going more gentle or aggressive with ablativeness is what causes the horror stories( hyper/hypopigmentation) scars..etc.... Also, if going more gentle is best route, how many treatments are usually required? Thanks
I was diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis which was triggered by a course of low dose accutane. It occurred almost immediately upon starting the accutane, which i discontinued after a month a year ago. Ever since, I've experienced horrible flaking skin, texture, scarring randomly without having acne or picking, and inflammation. I've been on treatment for 3 months now (fluconazole, vanicream z bar soap, and zoryve) + following a fungal safe routine and nothing has helped.
My skin has a constant dullness to it. It is always dry no matter how much water I drink and skincare I use. Cheap or expensive skincare, nothing helps. Ive tried slugging at night and it seems to only congested my skin. I have scarring on my cheeks and forehead both. Ive had several sessions of Moxie, several micro needling, and several diamondglow facials. All of this has helped, but my skin is not what I wish it to be. I have a lot of discoloration and very uneven texture.
I had my CO2 laser done November of last year so Im almost at a year of healing! I feel like the area I was most concerned with just scarred more. Now I have white squares where they performed the laser and theyre almost raised. The office just told me to keep using hydroquinone but its not doing anything. These are pictures in the same lighting. The first is before my laser
Where should I go from here? Ive reached out to the surgeon who performed my co2 laser. Its been a year and a half and all Ive received is its still healing. Not to mention this is all by email. He hasnt seen my skin in person. It is not healing still, now I have raised white grid lines all over my face, they are very obviously scars. I really want to stay away from lasers in the future for several reasons but is this something I can fix with deeper chemical peels? Is this even fixable?
I had three laser treatments on a small mole excision scar. The first two treatments were uneventful and gave small improvement. The third treatment was much more intense, took much longer to heal and I am still left with indents. I was told this would fill in over the next 6 months but I am doubtful. Anything I can do or it this permanent?
I laser on the tip of my nose to remove a dark spot on my nose, however the laser treatment left a deep scar on my nose. I tried the CO2 treatment on my nose twice and the scar didn't change. What are some other options that I have to make it disappear?
Ive had a number of treatments since late 2019 and am still not seeing results I am happy with: CO2 Laser-December 2019 2-3 RF Microneedling sessions during 2020 4-5 sessions of subcision during 2021/2022 My latest provider basically said see ya since he is starting a new practice and doesnt have all of the tools to specialize in scar removal, but suggested CO2 again. Im hesitant since the cost is so high and I didnt see good results the first time. Is there anything that will help?
