First, let me say my doctor said this is normal and I have no reason to distrust him. Im just a bit of a worrier. I have searched and while I have found many posts about lumps and swelling, none of them look like mine. I am 10 days post op from extended submental liposuction. I noticed a cannula shaped raised area under both sides of my chin presumably where he passed the cannula through. Is this swelling? Scar tissue? Will it go away or am I botched?
I had Chin liposuction a year ago and track marks remain under my chin where the cannula was inserted. They are very noticeable & I am quite self conscience. I mentioned them at follow up & dr. suggested using Kybella as a possible solution. Prior to my chip lipo, I had two sessions of Kybella and while I could see an improvement I figured it best to just go ahead and get rid of the fat once and for all with lipo. What can you recommend to help reduce these track marks?
After liposuction for a double chin, it looks like I have a cannula track mark that comes from under the chin, across the jawline, and on to my face in the jowl area. It is slightly discolored and depressed and makes the contour of my jawline asymmetric to the other side. Anything that could correct or improve this? Could fat injections fill in the depression, or do you think the risk of more asymmetry from a possible fat bulge would be too high?
10 month post op. I'm 33. Seems surgeon removed ALL the fat in the center of my neck so I have one area of loose skin, and the rest is stuck to my muscle in verticle bands. The bands were there 2 after swelling was reduced so might correspond to where the cannula was inserted. I look aged and sick. Surgeon said wait for the rest of my face to catch up or pay for full neck lift. Are those really my only options? Would putting fat back help anything? Massage& stretching have not.
I've read online that the results of a micro cannula are not as dramatic. Is that likely to be true for a 29 year old female looking for liposuction on the chin / jaw area?
