Had chin Lipo a year ago now and I’m left with a cannula line on side of my face. How can this be fixed?
Answer: Reducing the Appearance of Track Marks After Chin Liposuction It's not uncommon for patients to experience residual marks or irregularities following chin liposuction. Here are several options that might help reduce the appearance of track marks from the cannula: Topical Treatments: Over-the-counter or prescription-strength silicone-based gels and sheets can help reduce the appearance of scars over time. Retinoid creams, which promote cell turnover, may also be beneficial. Microneedling: This procedure involves using tiny needles to create micro-injuries in the skin, promoting collagen production and improving skin texture. It can help diminish the appearance of scars and track marks. Laser Therapy: Fractional laser treatments can resurface the skin, improving texture and reducing the visibility of scars. Different types of lasers may be used depending on the depth and appearance of the marks. Chemical Peels: Medium to deep chemical peels can help in reducing superficial scars and improving skin texture. They work by removing the outer layers of skin, allowing new skin to form. Dermal Fillers: If the track marks have caused indentations or unevenness, dermal fillers can be used to even out the skin surface. Steroid Injections: For raised or hypertrophic scars, steroid injections can help flatten and soften the scar tissue. Surgical Revision: In some cases, surgical scar revision may be necessary to remove or significantly reduce the appearance of the track marks. Consulting with a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon is essential to determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on the specific characteristics of your skin and the scars.

Answer: Laser treatments can help even out skin tone and texture caused by scarring. Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.
