Like in the middle it's aballed up circle. Im a skinny person but my face is a bit chubby and I'm a 20year old female. This is how it looks like, Photos down below :1st and 2nd is me purposely straining my mentalis muscle for an example. And also I noticed that when I'm eating or drinking my chin is not relaxed like it then makes my chin look more weird and obvious that I have a ball look in my chin so what's going on in my chin, what caused it and how can i fix it ?
I'm looking for a chin implant that will not only push my chin forward. But also push it upwards elevating the mentalis muscle is that possible? I'm asking because when I do that with my hands my chin scars virtually disappear. So maybe, that could be a solution.
Hi, I'm hoping to get some honest advice for my chin implant concerns. I had 6mm silicone 5 years ago and no major issues. Not 100% with the appearance as it's a bit unnatural but it is an improvement and I'm ok with it. However I've been thinking of removing or replacement with a sliding genioplasty (3-5mm) as I'm worried about implant longterm issues like bone erosion (I have mentalis strain closing mouth), infection, displacement. Is it worth it risk vs reward? What's my best option? Thank you!
Some doctors say that not to use the intraoral approach because it requires the mentalis muscle attachments to be cut and once cut, they cannot be reattached properly which results in chin and lip ptosis. Why does there seem to be a disagreemet among doctors? Is a intraoral chin implant ok? Will my chin and lip sag? Will my speech be affected? I had an intraoral chin implant about 2 yrs ago and my lower lip function is off. Why didn't the doctor warn me about these potential issues? Thank you.
I am 4 weeks post a chin implant and full face lift. Two weeks ago a chin dent popped up on the right side of my face. I have read that Botox could help, but I want a permanent fix. I had the smallest chin implant available used. If I have it removed, will I have loose skin on my chin ? What went wrong that I have this deformity ? Any possibility that with time it will resolve on its own ?
last year i had a intramural chin implant removed. Since then, the inside of my bottom lip sticks to my bottom gum. The best way i can describe it is if you imagine a large sticky gummy bear stuck on the inside of your mouth and you can't remove it. It feels gross! The mentalis muscle feels extremely tight and i can't close my mouth. I have dimples on my chin as well Is there anything that can be done for these problems? thankyou very much
Short upper lip Mouth breathing since childhood Strained mentalis muscle 6 years of braces which had to stop due reduction in root lenght upper central incisors(wrong tongue posture pushing against) myofunctional therapy .Gummy smile lasered. 10 year old silicon implant causing discomfort -would like to remove and not replace.unable to close mouth prior to implant. Mouth breathing -dry mouth causing enamel erosion and caries. Functionality and Improvement of profiles?
I had an extra large silicone implant placed 2/2022. Its been over a year since the procedure and I still cannot pull my lower lip all the way down. After doing my research, I found that the mentalis muscle may not have been connected all the way, thus causing my mentalis muscle to be restricted. I want the implant removed but I am afraid my chin will not be the same. I need some advice please!!! Thank you.
