I've had bad under eye bags/lines since I was little but have been told that I'm ineligible for blepharoplasty(I'm 22 PMH anemia/asthma/hay fever/borderline diabetic). Can a chemical peel safely get rid of my under eye wrinkles? Also, are chemical peels safe for people with allergies? My allergies can cause my eyelids to swell up, crust over, and peel. I am also prone to styes(so I can't get fillers). Suffice it to say, my eyes are very sensitive.
I had a chemical peel done Feb 2021 under gen anesth. The peel included the eyelids and undereyes. Post treatment was wnl; however, approx 2-3 mo post L eye swelling that OTC and RX anithistamines no longer help. I went to an allergist and was told I had no allergies. It is becoming debilitating.
I am trying to determine if getting a chemical peel would be best suited for me or if I should just use a different Kojic acid then the one I used... You see, I used Kojic acid soap called Kojie San, and I eventually ended up with an allergic reaction where my skin even marbled. But I have heard that fermented rice water sake lotions from Japan are different/safer from the Kojic in soaps, is that true?? I am hesitant to try anything Kojic now also I am allergic to Penicillin and Koji is a mold.
I had a vitalize peel (citric, lactic and salicylic acid, retinol layer) done 5 days ago, Been using a mild soap and moisturizer at night. On day 3 my skin started to peel and next day I found hundreds of tiny little dots all over my skin, they are not painful or red or itchy but It makes the skin feel very rough. can this be an allergic reaction? I had to use makeup the second day for a few hours, could this have contributed? currently not applying anything, will thay eventually go?
I had my first chemical peel 2 days ago, and have been applying The Post-Procedure Solution by PCA Skin. After 24 hours, I began with one itchy spot on my forehead and now, 48 hours later, my entire forehead (from temple to temple) has a bumpy rash. It's not red; more skin tone, but I'm not scratching it. The rest of my face is fine. Is this normal or am I having an allergic reaction? What should I do?
I have spoken to a dermatologist and he thinks it would be a good idea for me to get a chemical peel to remove a series of acne scaring, however i didn't mention that i was allergic to benzoyl peroxide and a friend thought that since it is used to treat acne that it may be safer to make sure that they had nothing to do with chemical peels. Please help! I would appreciate it!
I want to have a chemical peel done to treat hyper pigmentation, to reduce my pores and to improve the texture of my skin. I've had a series of glycolic peels and microdermabrasions in the past with minimal results. I am an African American that is allergic to salicylic acid. I read great reviews on the VI peel but due to the salicylic acid I can't get that. Are there any peels that are suitable for me? Can the vi peel be made without the already small amount of salicylic acid?
