I am having a breast reduction in about a week. My paperwork said to stop taking any and all products that contain aspirin or vitamin E. Which I did. However, i did not realize my lotions and soaps contain vitamin e. Can i still have surgery since i did not consume any vitamin e
I have wanted a breast reduction my whole life. I was always scared and finally got up the courage to do it because I know how much better I will feel. The issue is I take a lot of supplements for stomach issues I have had and sleep. Some I can stop but some will be hard - the one I really cant is my thyroid supplement. Docs tried every medicine for thyroid and they all made me worse. This supplement has changed my life. BUT it has 10mg of vitamin e. Do I need to cancel my surgery? :(
Hello. I am 17 days Breast Reduction Post-op. Of course I'm still swollen and have discomfort. I have edema in both breast and have sharp shooting pains several times a day. Also, my right breast seems to have NON oozing puss. My Dr.said it could be puss or even breast tissue poking out due to split stitches. He also said not to massage yet or ice my breast. I keep the incisions clean & use pure vitamin E oil daily per surgeons instructions any suggestions?
I have breast reduction surgery. I stopped taking all NSAIDs but I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to take vitamin E. There's 15 mg in my daily supplement. Will it still be safe to have surgery in four days?
I had a breast reduction/lift on November 21, 2018. I started using vitamin e oil to massage the scars and silicone scar gel. I recently started using silicone strips, now moving on to silicone tape. I just want reassurance or confirmation as to why this part under my nipple is getting darker b/c this part was normal the first month. Should I start using some type of skin fading treatment or any other type of scar medicine that isnt tape or any of the above that I have already used?
I had reduction surgery 15 months ago. 6 months out my scars looked great now they are larger thick and sore and I put Vitamin E and Massaged it in several times a day. What can be done about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated
3.5 weeks post BR. I have recently noticed over the last day or two my skin being quite dry and flaking in certain areas of my breasts. Of most concern near the vertical incision lines as they now appear wider to me and a lot redder/pinker. I have thin skin and am prone to eczema. I am currently using vitamin e oil and silicone gel twice a day for scar management.. I also had skin irritation from tape which seems to be ok now. Should I be concerned about this or just part of the healing process?
