I just started putting vaseline on the scar and it seem like the vaseline is making them peel more. Now i have red wounds around the areola. My surgeon said its normal but I feel like I wont have a nipple after all of this.
Im about two weeks in my recovery from a breast reduction, and I noticed that my left incision was leaking a tiny bit (the fluid was thin and yellow-ish and doesnt have any smell). After showering I noticed I had a small opening where my incisions meet, so I assume a scab must have fallen off before it was ready to and thats what caused the leaking. Right now I put a bandaid over the opening with some Neosporin to keep the area clean. Should I be doing anything else?
I also had a small white blister pop earlier today and it left a tiny hole. Is this a problem? I'm going to call my surgeon, I'm just not sure how soon I'll get an appointment *photos may be upside down. Sorry
I am 4 weeks PO and my surgeon has seen me weekly. As of last week I still had a floating scab on it. Now its open with white flesh looking stuff and I can see the stitch at the top. I emailed him a picture yesterday and he assured me it was fine. Im supposed to use neosporin twice a day on it and just wait for it to close. This seems like itll never close.
Its been 2 weeks since my surgery. I noticed that my left areola was heavily scabbed. Didnt think much of it until the scabs started to come off. My surgeon advised to apply bacitracin with a non stick gauze. Im just concerned that onces its healed there will be a huge difference in pigment.
Over a year go I had a breast reduction with implants. For the past 6 months or so my nipple (areola) will get super hard and painful. Around my areola gets dried and scabs , at times my skin would cracks open from being so dry and scabby. The only thing that helps is sometimes putting lotion on it. My right nipple is perfectly fine. Could this be an infection or my nipple that getting enough blood flow?
I already posted about this but I feel like the wound has changed. So I just want to be sure this wound is healing properly after a breast reduction. The two photos are one of when I first noticed it and one of today. It had a scab in the center that I believe fell off because it is no longer there. I am nervous about this healing properly. How long do you think it will take to heal at this point? Is it normal that its yellow?
Both nipples was grafted on and both were scabbed but the scab on my right breast came off. I'm so worried that the scab was my actual nipple. Can you please give me some answers?
I am almost three weeks post op from my breast reduction. I feel great for the most part! However I am concerned because I still have a lot of scabbing on my right breast (on the T inscision). My surgeon explained that he removed quite a bit more from my right breast. Could this be a result of slower healing? What is the normal duration to keep scabs? I have an appointment with him in two weeks, should I make an appointment before then?
