Please help! This is my second breast reduction. I had my first 10 years ago and 6 months ago. I included an implant this time around. A couple of weeks after surgery i got a severe infection which took over a month to get rid of and left a huge scar. My question: i am now noticing one areola is red and lumpy and chipping away at the brown getting closer to the nipple. I have been treated by led light for the scarring and was wondering if its causing this or is it something that will go?
Im 6 months out and my scars are very red and raised. They started to look worse as opposed to better around 3 months. I dont have itching but experience sharp short pain in them sometimes. Ive spoke only to the nurse at my surgeons office and was recommended MEPITAC tape, should I be doing anything else are these keloid or going to get worse?
I had a breast reduction three years ago as well as nipple piercings. The piercings are out as of a year ago but lately Ive noticed white bumps were the piercings were AND red bumps around the areola scar on my breasts. Obviously seeing things on the internet can go crazy so if I can get some advice please! photo)
I had my breast reduction about five months ago. The healing has been great but now I found my t junction scars to be very thick and lumpy. I've looked at many different scars and found one similar but mine is very saw and red and I wonder what could be wrong.
I have gone from a 36DD bra to a 36F. I keep an angry, red, raised rash under my breasts. I have seen a dermatologist. Would I be a candidate for reduction and lift and would Medicare pay some of the costs. I also have Tricare for Life.
I had a breast reduction 8 years ago. Would you recommend a further revision? i plan to get the scars revised but what else would you do to make them look better? Thanks
I am two years post op from my breast reduction and still experiencing some concerns. I have a hard red raised area on my right breast that gets periodically itchy and hot, as well as hard red bumps around my right nipple, but my left breast is perfectly fine. Should I schedule an appointmemt with the surgeon?
My skin is so rough/dry, itchy, and red. The left breast is definitely worse than the right. I have an appointment next week with my surgeon but Im hoping I can get some info on if this is a common complication with this procedure. I tried putting moisturizer from the surgeon on it and tried coconut oil but both seem to have just irritated it more so I havent been putting anything on it except when it gets so itchy, i put some A&D ointment on it and it seems to soothe it a little bit.
I am now 16 days post op and my symptoms started 11 days out. I'm allergic to adhesives. I was given internal sutures and steri strips. The skin turned very raw, red, itchy on day 11 all around the incisions. I had blood work done to rule out infection. The doctors say it's an allergic reaction but they don't know to what. Zyrtec, Benadryl, ice, and prescription steroid cream hasn't worked. What next?
