I had a breast reduction Sept 22 (8 months ago). I have noticed the scars are still very painful (I cant have showers without covering the scars). They feel raised and seem to me like they are more pronounced than before. The surgeon didnt mention anything about abnormal scaring at the follow ups after the procedure. Will these fade (Im using bio-oil as recommended)? Can something help the pain or reduce the look of these scars?
Im 39 year old woman that went in for breast reduction and tummy tuck in September of 2021. My results are not what I expected at all. I did both procedures at the same time looking back it makes me feel they should have been split up. Two weeks after my surgery my right breast opened up from the base to the nipple. I have been healing since then. Doctor only looked at it and reapplied ssv cream at every visit. It was horrible. The pain was so bad I would cry when taking a shower. Help me!
I had my breas reduction performed in July 2022. The procedure went well, although i had a post-op infection after approximately a week. My lft breast breast is puckered underneath and above the nipple. I just want to know my possible options if any. Thank you in advance.
8mpo has been smooth until last week! I have pain in my left breast and it is redIwent to see my PS last week and she put me on antibiotics (JIC, she doesnt think its an infection bc its not hot, I dont feel Ill etc) **she said I likely popped an internal stitch and sometimes it will take a while to heal** Im on day 5 on antibiotics. And I do have a lot less pain, but if Im super active during the day, my breast gets sore/swollen/red in PM. Wondering how long this will last.
Hi - had a breast reduction in August 2018. Result was good but now almost 8 months post op my nipple remains oval shaped and disproportionate to my other one. My PS said wait a year to see if it evens out , but it is obvious to me that it will not change from oval to round in the next 4 months... not expecting perfection by any means , but a similar shape to my other one would make it easier to look at everyday .
big breasts are in my genes as all the women in my family have had big breasts. In MAY I had a breast reduction (from G to D) because I had saggy boobs and it was not till later when I realized I could have done breast lift instead. I did not even come up with that option before. Now I regret my decision so bad as I miss them a lot am not exaclty happy with my new body. If I eat foods that contain estrogen would that help? I am currently 25 so I do not think they would grow or would they?
I had a breast reduction surgery 8 months ago and now have this painful, very soft, reddish and purple swollen area on my incision between my nipple and bottom of my right breast and the skin stretched out and peeled over it! Had no exercise or physical pressure in that area. Is this a scar tissue, fat necrosis or suture granuloma? Will it gradually go away??
I am 5'2, 120 lbs, band size 30. Post op, I was a 32F cup with dense tissue. Approximately 1 1/2 pounds were removed from both breasts, with more being removed from the left. Currently I am fitting a 32 DD-DDD across a large variety of bra manufacturers. Does my result look proportional? Do I look as if I might be in danger of future sagging? Should I consider revision? I do feel some relief from my symptoms, but I am still fitting into old bras and feel saggy. Thank you for your opinion!
Hello, I had a breast reduction 7.5 months ago, I'm pleased, however my nipples are too high, I want to know what risks are involved with having them lowered a bit, as well as how invasive the procedure for this would be. It's something I could live with, but it's uncomfortable and if I wear certain bras or shirts my nipples peek out the top. I also want to have a little more breast tissue removed. I contacted my Dr. about it and he said he would tighten the lower aspect and remove more tissue.
