Can the tear drop/oval shape of my nipple be corrected?

Hi - had a breast reduction in August 2018. Result was good but now almost 8 months post op my nipple remains oval shaped and disproportionate to my other one. My PS said wait a year to see if it evens out , but it is obvious to me that it will not change from oval to round in the next 4 months... not expecting perfection by any means , but a similar shape to my other one would make it easier to look at everyday .

Wait the remaining four months as your PS recommended.  At that point, surgical correction of the oval areola can be performed to remove some of the skin adjacent to or within the pigmented areola and suturing it. based on your photos, it looks like your areolas are asymmetric and it is unlikely that they will change a lot in the next period. You might benefit from small revision which should make them more symmetrical. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Revision and reduction of the areola can be performed to improve the shape and create a more round appearance.
