I've undergone a breast lift and I did get zaps running through my breast during the first few months post-op. I can feel sensitivity around my nipples (the areolas). However, my nipples still feel somewhat numb when they used to be very sensitive before I had surgery. What are my options and future looking like? Should I get PRP breast lift? would that help my condition. Any advice is welcomed as I do feel very disheartened by this significant change!
I've undergone a breast lift procedure 6 months ago and have been waiting to feel the sensation return in my nipples. I definitely feel sensation around the nipple (areolas), that are somewhat sensitive and tender. Is that a good sign that feeling will return to my nipples if the closest surrounding area has feeling?
Im borderline on needing a lift and concerned that's it's too much to go through at my age when my breasts are pretty average. Is 32 too young to get a lift if it's not absolutely necessary? Will I loose sensation in my nipples or be at increased risk for necrosis if I have another lift when I'm older?
Hi, I want to have a breast lift however I really can't bare the risk of losing sensitivity on my nipples. Is there any other option for my breasts to look at least a little better than now without touching my Areola? I would also consider implants to stay a size C. I am not looking to turn back into a 20 year old. I want improvement than the current situation. Do you have any advise? Thank you for responding.
My Doctor wants to perform the breast augmentation first then breast lift later. I am scared I will lose nipple sensation, but he has assured me I will not. Can someone please explain to me how nipple it works? I don't understand how a Dr can cut off the areola and put it back on and the patient still have nipple sensation. Thank you for the answers.
I'm considering a breast lift and from reading all the comments on this website I'm quite clear there will be some scaring. However none of the comments I've read ask about sensation of the nipple after surgery. All of the procedures involve cutting away the nipple, either on its own or with a vertical incision (lollipop). What I'd like to know is will there be, or is there a risk of, loss of nipple sensation from a sexual perspective? Thanks
I have a mastopexy booked for October 1st over here in England. I've been for a consultation, had 3D simulations and have been really happy with the outcome. However, I'm particularly worried about lack of sensitivity following the procedure. Nipples are a key part of arousal for me and my partner, and I'd really hate to lose that. I know he would too.. I really don't want to end up with completely numb nipples, I think it'd make me really quite depressed! Does all sensation go?
I've had 3 PS consults. I understand all surgery carries risks. My last consult told me loss of nipple sensation risk is 50/50. The previous 2 consults did not give such serious odds. So I'm wondering, is this last consult a great Dr, who would rather give me the worst case scenario and have me pleased, vs sugar coat things and have me very unhappy afterwards, or is this Dr perhaps a chop shop doctor, not giving the delicate concern to my end result (and therefore not the best choice)?
