I have type 1 diabetes and I have just had a blood test to get my HBA1C result to go forward with a breast augmentation but I have a sensor which gives you an estimated A1C and the result is 8.7% (72mmol/mol). Is this too high for surgery as I really wanted to have it done as soon as possible?
Hi, I have paid for my Breast Augmentation & was due to go into surgery next week. However, they rang me today to say they have had to cancel surgery due to me having Type 1 Diabetes & that the current situation & Covid 19 would mean Im more at risk. My sugar levels are stable & Im otherwise healthy but they are insisting to wait till its safer. Ive wanted this for over 15 years, will I still be able to get it done?
I'm looking to have breast surgery, I have taken out a loan to pay for it and I am looking for a surgeon who is happy and willing to do it for me. My GP is 100% on board with this decision and has given me the go ahead. My blood sugar levels on a daily basis are well controlled and I have a Hba1c of <66. no problems healing, is there any advice or recommendations of which surgeon to go to in the UK. Many thanks
Hi there. I've been wanting to get a breast augmentation for a few years now, however I've been diagnosed with T1D. I'm curious if I am still a good candidate, or if there is anything I can do to become one. Here is a brief rundown of my current condition: -I'm 5' 2 and I've had a stable weight of 95lbs for about 10 years. -26 y/o, diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when I was 23 -A1C is stabilizing through use of insulin pump for the past year - Have never been hospitalized for diabetes
