I had a jaw muscle reduction botox yesterday at around 11:00am and 2 hours later I ate a bowl of very spice noodle, which resulted in heavy sweating and face flush. I was wondering if my face flush and heavy sweating could have spread the botox to unwanted place in my face and furthermore other part of my important muscle groups such as breathing or swallowing? Thank you so much for any input!
About 2 weeks after receiving Botox injections in my chin I noticed when scrubbing my face that my chin would involuntarily seize up and almost curl upward get larger and swell and contract and pull down the sides of my mouth and turn red. While this still happens when my chin is touched, at 4 week I was no longer able to swallow solid food. My throat either wont finish the swallow and I have to cough it up or food particularly get stuck. Has anyone ever heard of this happening?
ave been getting Dysport injections every six months in my forehead, brow and around my eyes. Never had a problem. 3 days ago i had 30 units in each of the platysmal bands. I now have horrible flu like sore throat. I keep reading doctors say it is unlikely to be related ir that ive never heard of this reaction before.... yet im seeing dozens and dozens of ppl on here ask about it? What gives? It MUST be related. Havent slept....so much trouble swallowing. So so sore!
An hour and half after my 2nd set of botox a knot appeared then developed into pain deep inside my jaw/ear area a few hours later, directly in front of my ear, it is aggrevated by taking/chewing/swallowing. My neurologist was out of the office since the shot, but I had a GP check it for infection, ect.., they only found slight swelling and a painful lymph node in front of my ear. I attached a photo of where the knot formed and it is gone, but the pain and slight swelling is still there.
I just received 25 units injected and during treatment a tiny amount squirted from the needle, landed on my lip and may have gotten into my mouth. There is a lot of conflicting information on the web about Botox vs. botulism and what is safe/dangerous. It was just a very tiny, less than a drop, bit but I'm wondering if this is need for concern since it could potentially have been ingested versus injected. Is Botox in its form poisonous and, if so, how much is actually dangerous?
I was injected with 4 units of Botox. Two injections on each side of my philtrum columns. This was given to help raise my upper lip. I am 53. I am now concerned with eating and shaping words. I cannot hold a spoon or fork between my lips in order to get the food in my mouth properly. I think this is causing me to swallow too much food and it's making me worried. I was injected two days ago. Any advice?
I had a small botox injection four days ago to make the frown line between my eyebrow softer. The procedure was done by an experienced nurse at the office of a certified skin doctor. Now, however, I am plagued with headaches, a slightly blurry vision and I have trouble swallowing. The nurse only warned me of the headaches, but afterwards I have read that these are adverse effects of botox. When will these effects go away? Are they dangerous or permanent? What can I do to get better?
2 days after, as I felt the botox over lip, I felt something in my throat, and difficulty swallowing. Next day my tonsil under the jaw was swollen. Head itching. Hives on legs. Pain in ears. Later hives on arms, face, body and felt like my face would burn up. Numbness and sensations in the face, lips, tongue, throat, legs and arms. 18 days later it's on going. I'm so afraid! Can I die? Can the botox be spreading and develop to botulism? Can I get an allergic chock? What to do? Use antihistamine.
