I had an arm lift 2 years ago and will be doing a second arm lift in a couple of months. I know that liposuction can be done together with the surgery but is it okay to get full arm lipo a couple months before proceeding with an arm lift? This is because I assume that getting an arm lipo with an arm lift at the same time will cause more swelling hence the surgeon would not be able to be remove as much skin due to scarring during the healing process. I would like as much skin removed as possible.
Today is my 18 days post of an arm lift (liposuction and brachioplasty) had the stitches done in my underarm. The swelling has gone down and I was able to sleep on my sides. I was just wondering when is it safe to wash my own hair in the shower. And when will I be able to move my arms over my head.
I had a mini arm lift. I know I I am only 16 days post but I seem to be running into issues...pain, extreme tenderness...one arm is full of bumps and dents. My Dr. said it is swelling. So then why do I have this dents and it's not smooth. What do I do now ? Can this be fixed? Is the swelling? Is this normal? I do not want to lose faith in my plastic surgeon, any suggestions?
I am 3 weeks out from an arm lift. I have been healing well - minor issues like a small hole in the right armpit and a yeast infection on both arms have resolved. I'm still wearing compression 24/7. I have tenderness in my right forearm, my surgeon said it is probably just nerve damage that will go away. My right arm is bigger (more swollen) than my left, and this is even evident comparing my wrists (one is 6 inches, the other 7.25 inches). Should I be concerned? FYI, I'm right handed.
I was in tight arm garments until today. Now in a bra with sleeves garment but it is not tight on the upper arms...comfortable. The swelling in my forearms and hands has been severe. Not in alot of pain and generally feeling good and opitmistic. Could this be due to any nerve damage? I'm trying not to scare myself too much and am thinking I had a big procedure done and just need time to heal...this is a side effect of my healing process...2 to 3 month mark I should not be swollen like this.
I just had an arm lift procedure and my plastic surgeon does not believe in compression garments and I only have paper bandages on the incisions. My arms have swelled only slightly and are somewhat black and blue. But other than that everything seems fine so far only four days out Im concerned about the lack of compression garments to keep the swelling down and why he choose not to use them.
