Today is my 18 days post of an arm lift (liposuction and brachioplasty) had the stitches done in my underarm. The swelling has gone down and I was able to sleep on my sides. I was just wondering when is it safe to wash my own hair in the shower. And when will I be able to move my arms over my head.
I had brachioplasty on both arms 5 weeks ago. It is healing nicely, per my doctor. However, it feels like some of the stitches along my suture line are trying to poke through the skin.
I had arm lift June 23. My results R fairly satisfying but I have 3 concerns & I'd like independent advice 1. I have raised little lump of skin. I can't imagine this smoothening out. ? 2. Other arm, 1 area is like a bulge, and under skin I feel fat ..it feels to me like an 'under correction My dr..said, maybe he ''didn't take enough skin/or enuf lipo. .. wants me to wait until Dec. no discussion yet, but would I be resposible for $$ ??? I hope not ! 3. can stitches be pulled too tight? thx
i am 2 weeks post op of an arm lift. About a week ago i realized i had an open wound on both arms and can see a clear stitch coming out of the wounds. Also now there is a green/clear gooey residue coming out of both wounds. Is that normal for the healing process for the wound to close? Should i do anything to help the wound heal better? Also what should i do about the stitch coming out of the wound?
Brachioplasty was 10 days ago, yesterday while cooking felt a gush of warm blood running down my side, been putting pressure but blood hasn't stopped, blood is very dark red, surgery was in Mexico, not sure what to do now, scared I'm slowly bleeding to death, think maybe I need more stitches, how long should I wait for bleeding to stop before I do something else? I have a video of the bleeding but can't upload it, I uploaded stills from the video.
2 wks ago I had areas to open up and drain. Plastic surgeon dug into each opening with tweezers and started yanking them out leaving the openings much bigger. Mind you..he has done this 4 times already in 2 wks. He used silver nitrate in the open areas & said to cover with gauze at all times. Is this normal??
I'll have lipo/brachi next month, and got an arm compression garment wich is firm and tight. But I guess it would be very difficult to wear after the surgery, I'm afraid my arms would be more swollen and when trying to put on my garment, stitches could open up. Shoud I change them for a bigger size, even if that size won't make the job of pressing the lipo/brachi area?
