Hello - thinking of getting an arm lift. The surgeon I am leaning towards uses drains, which I am cool with b/c I think it will help reduce swelling and tension on the scar. Is compression still necessary? I had a thigh lift 4 years ago and my surgeon said he doesn't find it makes a difference in recovery. I would LOVE to not wear compression. To me it is always painful and very uncomfortable. How critical is this towards recovery?
I have read on this forum that many women have developed stretched scars on their elbows and they think it has been from holding a book tablet or texting on the phone Post armlift must I keep my arms straight.. I couldn't imagine how awful that would be What is the recommended sleeping position and how long per day should I elevate my arms Do you know anyone in Sydney who you would reccomend for an armlift Doctors here want to use drains , what's the advantages and disadvantages
Lost 120# had TT & BAM 3.5 weeks ago. Recovery has been great. Drains out at 18 days, no seromas. Pain was way less than I expected. Off narcotics and valium by day 5. Up to walking 4-6 miles every other day. Some swelling, spitting out some sutures but no complications. Honestly way better recover than I expected. What would be a good time frame to wait before pursuing arm lift and lower body lift?
I have genetic hanging arms with a medium amount of fat I have been to 2 plastic surgeons No1 was happy to do an armlift in day surgery with no lipo and no drains No.2 wants me to be in hospital for 4 days with 2 drains and lipo I am very confused the first doctor does this operation once a month and the second one does a couple a month. I am very confused how can they be so different The first doctor made me feel very confident but the second made me feel scared What do you think?
