I had brachioplasty with lipo 4 weeks. I still wear the compression sleeves at night per MD instructions. I have been having painful posterior forearms, wrist and hands for the last 2 weeks. It feels as if someone has pull the tendons in my forearms across the room. I thought it was the sleeves and left them for 24 hours but they are still painful. I consulted my MD office and they said they hadn't of someone having this before. Is this normal?
I would like to know how come i can't stretch my arm well? I can stretch it while its down but not when i elevate it and try to stretch at the same time! I can feel little strings pulling above my forearm/ inner elbow. Its painful when i try to stretch. Does anyone know why its like that?
I had brachioplasty on both arms 5 weeks ago. It is healing nicely, per my doctor. However, it feels like some of the stitches along my suture line are trying to poke through the skin.
Can I use steristrip wound closure to help the wound close? Im afraid it will heal as is and the scar will be that much wider... it keeps seperating. Is there anything I can do t this point to close it up and prevent it from healing that way.
It doesn't appear infected. Should I see my PS? What should I do for healing? I must have over-done things a bit. But I honestly don't know what I actually did to have the incision open like this.
I had Brachioplasy about 6 weeks ago. The left arm healed well, the right axilla had something to keep the site open during healing that fell out at about week 3 or 4 and left a hole. It is healing and the PS said it is ok. In the last 7 days the tissue has grown and is growing past the other skin in the axilla and looks like a little brain. Is there something I can or should do? Since it is still healing and hasn't scabbed yet I am not putting scar gel but I am using Abx ointment. Thanks, John
Hello. I had brachioplasty 4 weeks ago today. I have a stubborn seroma that I've had drained 4 times now. I can't keep missing work to go get it drained. Should I just lay low and give it time? Also, the skin around the seroma is puckered and unsightly. Will this correct itself as the seroma goes down, or will this require removal? Third, I have 2 open wounds on the upper part of my arm. I'm having a tough time getting them to scab. Any suggestions on how to help it heal more quickly? Thanks in advance!
My bandages over the incisions have still not fallen off. They smell horrible. almost like garbage that has been in a hot sun for weeks. obviously its summer so that does not help but is this normal that hey have not all fallen off yet and smell this bad? They also still hurt and are sensitive to the touch? ill be contacting my surgeon just to make sure but any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
