I have some questions because I'm about to start on accutane. Is there anything I should do to improve my health, such as taking specific vitamins, during the course of the treatment to prevent negative effects? Anything I shouldn't use, exactly? I'm also concerned about my vision. I questioned whether there had ever been instances of long-term eye effects. Thank you!
I'm considering starting on a low dose of isotretinoin (10 mg per day). If I choose to do so, will it still be safe for me to take a multivitamin containing the daily recommended amount of vitamin A in the form of 800 micrograms of retinyl acetate?
Can I take multivitamin tablets while on isotretinoin...I have a hairfall issue so I have been using minoxidil and multivitamin for hair.... I am 19 years old, female, 53 and weigh 130lbs. i started accutane a month ago and im wondering if its okay to take magnesium on it. i have hypothyroidism and half my thyroid removed. my endocrine took me off levothyroxine at age 17 and put me on phentermine. after taking phentermine for a year i now have horrible digestive problems. ive completely changed my diet to vegan& gluten free but still, magnesium is the ONLY thing that helps me go to bathroom.
Hi. I have mild to moderate papular acne. I am on accutane 10mg to try and clear it up fast as I am getting married in 3 months time. I have read that a side effect is hair loss. Can I take hair multi vitamins and evening prim rose oil supplement? They do not contain vitamin A.
I'm a 22 year old girl who's currently on Claravis 40mg daily. I'm having trouble with hair dryness and nothing seems to help the state of it. Can I take viviscal with my medication since there is no vitamin A included within it? Or is hair, skin and nails vitamin by nature's bounty okay to use with the amount of vitamin A in it?
I have officially finished my accutane regimen! I took 40mg for almost 8months, my weight is around 70kg. I am a very active person in the gym and outdoors, the only side effect i had was dry skin, nose and dry lips. Physically, I was ok, I was able to finish a spartan beast under the sun. I was a little bit weaker, probably because I stopped all my supplements and multivitamins and minerals. I do want to know how long should I wait before I can take my supplements including multivitamins and minerals.
I've just started week 4 on accutane, for over a week I take 10mg per day. After only 2 weeks on 20mg my doctor reduced my dose to 10mg, and we will continue the course on this dose. My question now is, can I take following hair vitamin with accutane? The vitamin contains: Vitamin A 2500 NE, Vitamin C 50mg, Vitamin D3 50 NE, Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B6, all 3mg, Vitamin B12 10mcg, Vitamin B5 50mcg, Ca-lactate gluconate 110mg, Biotin 2000mcg, folic acid 100mcg. (2 pills per day). Thank you!
How long after taking accutane would it be safe to start taking a multivitamin again? I finished my treatment in October and I want to be sure its safe. I was advised by my dermatologist that I should avoid supplements during the treatment, but was never told when it would be safe to start using them again.
