I suffer from acne and also have blackheads on my nose. I have been using tretinoin for years. I use it every night and apply it all over my face. I also use clindamycin gel cream for my face in the morning--but I stopped using it on my nose. I started using Paula's Choice 2% BHA on my nose in the mornings. But I still don't see much of a difference on my nose. What should I do?
So I finished taking accutane on March 16th and my doctor told me I should put moisturizer on my face and then apply 0.025% Tretinoin cream on my face every night before going to bed but I don't see results yet. Should I stick to Tretinoin cream to see if it will eventually help or are there better solutions? **I attached pictures of my face over the course of the past 14 days. I have noticed that my face gets red whenever I sweat or wash my face. Any help or suggestions are welcome! Thanks!
Any clue what this is & how to get rid of it? For a year+ I've had these bumps on my torso. I'm thin, no skin folds, never sweaty. Wear loose cotton clothing, rarely wear a bra. The bumps are on ribcage between breasts, & upper stomach. It often stings/itches. I've tried benzoyl perox, BHA, AHA, hydrocortizone, Desonide, tretinoin, Hibiclens, Cerave, Mupirocin, Xolegel, doxycycline, Keflex, Spiro, zinc soap, erythromycin, etc...nothing helps. Any ideas?
Hi, I am a 27 yo female. I have been on Accutane twice (2017- first round, 40mg 1 month, 60mg 2 months, 80mg 3 months. 2020- 40mg 1st month, 6mg 6 months). Both courses cleared my acne. I just finished the second course in July 2021 and recently I have developed these itchy, comedomal spots on my forehead. I have been using Salicylic acid + retinA since August 2021. What could it be? It started with one spot and in a week it spread. I feel very depressed and my Derm is no good.
I am 26 years old, not smoking or drinking, use broad spectrum SPF 50 since Im 19 on a daily basis, have some fillers in my nasolabial folds and corners of my mouth but still my skin is aging very quickly it seems. Is there any explanation? I also noticed that small lines are building between my pores, so that it looks as if my whole face would start to wrinkle once I smile... Aside from minimally invasive procedures, could Tretinoin be a solution?
I am a 24 year old male who finished a 2nd course of accutane 6 months ago but relapsed within 4 months and have been taking minocycline 100 mg 2x a day with 0.05% tretinoin every other night along with clindamycin wash in the morning for the past 2 months. The first course lasted several years and it didn't come back as bad by the time I started my second course though still was moderate and scarring. What would be the next step I could try before going on accutane for a third course assuming it doesn't get better? It's already been 2 months and I haven't seen much improvement
