I have been performing liposuction for over 25 years and fat transfers for over 10 and can tell you, without a doubt, that the best technique available is traditional tumescent liposuction using small diameter cannulas.Ultrasonic and laser liposuction techniques work by dissolving or destroying fat cells. As the essential first step in a Brazilian Butt Lift, fat extraction must be done correctly, using low extraction pressures, to get healthy, viable fat cells that can then be processed and re-injected.Following your board certified plastic surgeon's post-op instructions and wearing your compression garment will help control swelling.Best wishes!
Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a procedure to augment/enhance the gluteal and hip areas with fat harvested from other body areas using liposuction. Fat survival after fat transfer is critical for a good BBL result. Laser liposuction, but heating the tissues to "shrink" the skin, may affect the viability of the fat to be transferred for a BBL. Traditional, mechanically assisted ( micro-air) and ultrasonic ( vaser) liposuction modalities may be safer than laser liposuction for fat survival in fat transplantation for BBL
Hi.. thank you for the question... There are three safe types of liposuction technique that could be used to harvest fat tissue for a fat transfer:Tradicional liposuctionP.A.L. System (vibroliposuction)Hidrojet liposuctionLaser or Smart liposuction can damage the fat tissue cells, thats wy its not recommended for fat transfer liposuction.
HelloLaser lipo is not recommended for BBL because it damages the fat cells that are to be collected for the fat graft (BBL) this can cause a higher reabsorption of fat an greater risk of fat necrosis .But LASER can be used after enough fat is collected for the BBL.Before this i strongly recommend the conventional entumescent liposuction for collecting the necessary fat for the BBL.
If the blood pressure is well controlled and the patient is otherwise healthy without electrolyte disturbances or kidney issues, the surgery can usually be performed.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Your results should last permanently, with exercise and a clean diet. Lifting, squats and lunges after a BBL will only help increase muscle bulk and definition and achieve a more projected buttocks. If you have any concerns,...
Typically around 3-4 weeks is when the fat starts to settle and soften and the pressure is alleviated. Thank you for your question!Melinda Lacerna, MD FACS
