Not in the US. I have found fat grafting to be extremely effective. The BBL result is really a function of how aggressively the surgeon will liposuction and transfer. Most patients get an immense benefit with maximal liposuction of the abdomen, sides, and back to obtain the smallest waist possible and then maximal fat transfer to the buttocks and hips. Hello MultiMommy,At this point in time, I don't thing there is an FDA approved high volume injection material. In Europe they are using Macrolane to augment the breasts and buttocks. It is a large molecule hyaluronic acid or HA filler. Unfortunately it is not available here yet. There is some buzz about it possibly coming over here at some point. That being said, I don't really understand why one would want to use a temporary filler to augment the buttocks. In my opinion, fat and implants can be used together to get a great look. I just did this in a patient in the last 6 weeks. She had previous BBLx2 but wanted more firmness, so I placed subfascial implants. She looks fantastic. If you don't have enough fat, you could try to gain some weight prior to a BBL, or you just need to put in solid silicone implants.Good luck,Dr. Shah
There is nothing approved for injection into the butt -- only fat should be used. This is a procedure that is not perfect as often some if not all of the fat can go away.
I do not know of any type of buttock injections that are FDA approved. Fat is the only compound that I know can be injected into the buttocks.
