Dark blood oozing out of incision two weeks post-op BA. Should I be worried?

Hello, the bleeding and bruising that you are seeing needs to be thoroughly evaluated by your physician. It is good that you are not experiencing pain and there is no increased swelling but persistent drainage and dark blood needs to be addressed properly. If you are not comfortable with your surgeon's approach then seek another opinion soon.

This usually indicates some blood in the pocket or just inside the incision... the concerning part is that if blood can ooze out than bacteria could possibly go in...go see your doctor, I am sure they will be happy to help and provide reassurance or care. You maybe just fine...All the best!

Sometimes the steer-strips are soiled by dry blood, but if you have actual blood oozing from your incisions that is not a good sign and needs to be evaluated in person. Good luck.

Thank you for your question.  Blood coming from your incisions 10 days after breast augmentation is not normal, but can happen.  If the blood is from a small collection from just under the skin which does not communicate with the implant pocket, everything should be OK.  If the blood is coming from the pocket where the implant is, there is a risk of contamination or infection of the implant, which obviously is a concern.  If you are not happy with the response from your surgeon, you may want to get a second opinion.
