Sculptra- if I have EDS Will my collagen still grow? (photos)

Question

I have had Sculptra several times over 6 years ago. I believe I have EDS since my mom and twin sister have although I do not know that for sure. My question is for any doctors who have treated patients with Sculptra that Ehler’s Danos syndrome. Does Sculptra work on people with Eds? I don’t want to waste money and be hoped if I will get no results due to possible faulty collagen issues. I had 3 vials years ago but honestly don’t know if it did anything. I am 48yro. TIA

There is absolutely no better way to restore volume of the face than with the use of your own fat. When fat grafting is done by a Plastic surgeon with a great deal of experience in such procedures, the results are extremely natural and practically permanent. Sculptra will work and patients with a EDS because the process of restoring volume with the use of sculptra is different here. The body rejects each of the small particles of sculptra buy laying layers of scar tissue (colagen) around each particle and this creates more volume. My recommendation to you is to first look at fat grafting and if that is not an option, then consider sculptra . I hope this helps and good luck from New York city plastic surgery
