Just to add, I’m 22 and currently looking into veneers because of demineralization I developed after having braces when I was younger. Now that I’m older, I’ve completely changed my habits, but I’m left with staining and most of the front surfaces of my teeth are now fillings. I’ve already spent thousands fixing everything, but when I smile, all I see are discolored fillings and leftover stains. I keep paying to have the stains polished off of my fillings, but my dentist recently recommended veneers as a more “permanent” and aesthetic option. I actually love the shape and size of my natural teeth it’s just the staining and discoloration that really bother me. :/ I’m scared of getting veneers because I feel like they can sometimes look horsey or fake, like they create an overbite or something. Is there any way to get veneers that keep the same shape and size of my original teeth? Losing some tooth structure isn’t a huge concern for me since about 50% of my teeth are already fillings. I just want to feel happy and confident again, but I’ve been so scared to move forward with any alternative procedures. I’m worried I’ll make the wrong choice and end up ruining my teeth more than before.
