Veneers placed on front teeth in 2010 - will replacing front four teeth align my smile? (Photo)

My two front veneers have protruded making me look like a rabbit causing my side teeth to disappear. My dentist says he can replace my four front teeth with porcelain crowns, X-ray showed some wear, and this will align my teeth for the smile I want. Do you agree?

Since your X rays show wear on your teeth and/or current veneers, replacing them sounds like the next step. Note, that your teeth will be in the exact same position, but the veneer/crown they make will just be thicker, so it can line up with the others. I also think your doctor has the right idea replacing at least the front 4. This is typically recommended so everything can match and look the best aesthetically. All this being said, I would make sure you have an experienced cosmetic dentist perform this replacement. Removing old veneers and replacing with new ones almost always means drilling down more of your enamel underneath. You want to make sure you are going to a doctor who knows what they are doing to be as conservative as possible and while also making sure your cosmetic wants and needs are met.
