Lip lift candidate

Hello; I recently had a consult regarding a lip lift and was told I am not a candidate due to thick skin and potential for scarring. I absolutely hate my long philtrim but trust the plastic surgeon's advice. I am curious if there are other procedures, such as a sub nasal bullhorn lift that would potentially make me a candidate? Age 46, no health conditions, fair skin, prone to scarring. I live in a smaller city centre so there is no one locally who performs this type of lil life.
