I am 18 years old and it makes me look like I am always sick or a drug addict. I tried remedies but since its genetic it doesn't work, so is there a surgery for it? and price range is above this and that? if you cannot say the price that is okay too. PS: the image attached is not an image of me but just something i found with the same puffiness, only on me the skin is more translucent and you can kinda see veins if you pay close attention to it.

Answer: The treatment of genetic under eye bags depends upon the cause of the bags and the anatomy that is there Not all "under eye bags" are created equal, that is, there are several different reasons why we might see unwanted contours, shading, or pigment under the eyes. It is very important that we first understand exactly what the cause is of a specific individual's problem before we undertake anything to correct this because this area of the body is very unforgiving. Much of what we see here depends upon anatomy, and our treatments are often directed toward making some change in the anatomy to improve the appearance. Given that you are a young person, there are some things that are more likely the culprit than others, yet, even still, some of the things responsible for bags under the eyes of older people, like loosening of the tissues, can still happen even in young people with certain conditions. Other things like excess of fat, deformities, asymmetries, or underdevelopment of parts of the facial skeleton, or intermittent swelling of tissues can all cause this kind of problem. The good news is that there are a number of different things that can be offered to help this. Your best move is to schedule an appointment with board certified plastic surgeon, facial plastic surgeon, or occuloplastic surgeon who has experience in treating all kinds of under eye problems. That way he or she can evaluate your condition in detail and suggest the best methods for you to correct the problem. Good luck.
