Can I get ear piercings while on Accutane? I just started 40mg of Myorisan once a day.

Thanks for your question.  I have had patients get tattoos and piercings during their accutane course, but it is not generally recommended.  If you can possibly wait, your risk of scarring is much less, so I would encourage you to try and wait at least a month or two after your last dose.  It is completely up to you if you want to take the chance, but it is nearly impossible to reduce or get rid of a hypertrophic scar or keloid on the ear, and they are very hard to cover up.
