What type of tape is best for right after surgery (not silicone). Steri strips? Paper tape? My doctor said he doesn't usually tape but he has steri strips and he will use them since I am asking to be tapped . I'm going for my second breast lift bc my scars stretched and I've resagged but I've seen tape is helpful My question is what type of tape, and what does it do to help healing?
Answer: Tape Silicone strips can be helpful to keep scar flat and thin, and a good supporting bra will help to prevent stretching and sagging.

Answer: Bellesoma Method If your first breast lift failed because your skin has stretched then your breast lift was inadequate. The results should depend on the external skin envelope. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear Ddrr123, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: What type of post surgery tape to use on breasts? Hi and welcome to our forum! In our practice, we employ steri-strips to lessen tension on the healing incision and to maintain wound closure. These reinforced rayon backed strips should NOT be frequently replaced as the repetitive procedure retraumatizes the incision. Trim away edges of the tape as they come loose with scissors. Adhesive tape does not help healing....It protects against forces tending to pull the healing incision apart.Best wishes...
