When I was young my voice seemed normal but now I have a very nasaly voice & I sound like I'm always sick. What is causing this?

I'm 14 and sometimes its hard to breath through my nose so I've become a mouth breather. Ive never had any trauma to my nose so I was wondering what is going on.
