Lump after FUE hair transplant. Is this normal?

I had a hair transplant 5 months ago and now have a lump on the back of my head at the top of the donor area . It’s tender to touch and doesn’t move . Is this normal or ?

It is normal to shed transplanted hairs weeks after surgery.  The new hairs may take 6 to 12 months to grow.

Lidocaine toxicity is always a risk with any anesthesia.  A doctor should be aware of the risk and make sure you will be safe.Some doctors may not use lidocaine and some doctor may even use IV sedation.  You need to ask these questions to your doctor for the specifics of your surgery,

It may take six to twelve months to appreciate the results of a hair transplant surgery.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.

Generally, shaving the head with a razor too soon after a hair transplant can negatively affect the total yield. For this reason, it is a good idea to wait until the scalp is healed (at least 10 days after surgery) and the crusts are no longer present.

It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.Nioxin does not help grow hair or a requirement after surgery.
