Thanks much for reaching out. I tell my patients to stay out of extreme heat for 24 hours after Botox. Is it deactivates the medication. In regards to extreme cold I would probably avoid that for 24 hours as well. I hope that helps :-)
There is a small risk that the effectiveness of the neuromodulator (Botox) may be diminished so do not recommend it
I have been using Botox in my practice for over 10 years -- and I have never seen any adverse outcomes from something like a facial after Botox treatment either for medical or cosmetic uses. You should discuss this with your doctor, whom I hope is a board-certified MD with training in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery or Facial Plastic Surgery. I'd probably advise at least waiting 24 hours -- but you can have whatever facial you'd like. There are no scientific reasons whatsoever that your Botox will be affected 24 hours after your treatment. Best of luck.Damon B. Chandler, MDHarvard-Penn Trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon
After 24 hours you should be able to get a facial and any other aesthetic procedures. A cryofacial is a relatively superficial treatment so it should have no bearing with the effects of botox.
I would avoid having a facial for one week after treatment as the results of Botox are not apparent for that period of time.
Any procedure that involves pressure on the face should be avoided at least 24-48 hours after Botox
Yes! Have no hesitation in having a facial one day after your Botox treatment. Please make sure your Esthetician has experience with cryogenic procedures.
you may absolutely have whatever facial you'd like to have. There should be no issues arising. Good luck from New York City
Thank you for your question.Congratulations on getting Botox. It takes up to two weeks for Botox to take full effect. It is not advisable to do any facials, Hydrafacial, cryofacial, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser and etc. within first two weeks. This is the advice I give to all my patients.Hope this was helpful.Dr. Oleg Vinson
There is nothing simple or easy about your case. You are young and beautiful and have some challenging anatomic features. Botox has no role in correcting hollowness of the upper eyelid. Fillers are very challenging to place in that location and you need a masters hand to help -- and still i am...
The full effect of the injection occurs up to six days from treatment, and most patients return for repeat treatment between 4 and 6 months after the initial injections. Given the unique nature of your situation, I would recommend consulting with a board-certified physician to explore all the ...
As long as your RA is well-controlled, there is no contra-indication. Always discuss your medications and your symptoms with your doctor before having any kind of cosmetic procedure. I have treated many patients with auto-immune diseases and they have all done well.
