Glycolic peel pads and lytera 2.0 after PicoSure. Is this a good choice to maximize?

I had picosure focus 3 days ago. My small melasma spots do not look very different. How long before I see the final result and what is the best skincare to use between treatments. The nurse recommended I use glycolic peel pads and lytera 2.0.

Melasma is a very difficult condition to treat. Of all the lasers to try, I would stick with the pico technology lasers such as the picosure. The spots will get darker and will get lighter at the 6 week mark. Also one session will not do it. Multiple sessions might be required, but stop and re evaluate after each treatment.

I definitely would not  recommend Picosure for your laser.  At best it won't make it better and at worse it will make it darker.  The bleaching regimen that the nurse is suggesting would help to lighten your melasma.  Please consult a specialist in melasma and do Cosmelan.  I treat so many patients who have had laser for their melama and then their melasma is even more difficult to treat.  Best, Dr. Green
