Is jaw stiffness and soreness common with temple injections?

I had my dermatologist inject two syringes of perlane in my temples today and my jaw is stiff and sore. Is this a possible side effect or is something not right, kind of nervous.

Injecting dermal fillers or other volume agents into the temple area to treat the temple depression often causes soreness and stiffness.  The compounds are injected into the deeper tissues to elevate the temporal depression and this means that the material often goes into the area of the temporalis muscle, a muscle that is involved in chewing and moving your jaw.  This will cause soreness.  In my experience, this will continue to resolve with time.
