5 weeks post op rhinoplasty, nose looks long and wide. Is this my final result or will it shrink?

There seems to be a lot of swelling on your nose from the front view at the level of the tip and above. There is also some asymmetry of the ala which could be due to swelling. The nose seems slightly over-rotated and the tip over-projected. This could also be due to swelling. In my experience the degree of swelling seems exaggerated for 5 weeks, but everyone heals at different rates. Nevertheless, I would not recommend any revisions or corrections for at least one year from surgery.I would recommend that you follow up with your Plastic Surgeon.

You are still very early on your recovery process, There seems to be a lot of swelling on your nose from the front view. This would be expected at about 5 wks. The profile view shows an over-rotated and over-projected tip with a slightly low starting point. These three things will make your nose appear too long, or like its "sticking out from your face". Some people like this appearance and some don't. If you think the nose looks too long you will have to wait for swelling to decrease, and if things don't change from the side view a revision surgery may be required. Best of luck,

I would need to see pre op photos, but you are swollen.  At 5 weeks post op patients are healing, and swelling is present for weeks , and to some extent, months.  Follow up with your Plastic Surgeon so that he can monitor your healing.  Best wishes!
