This is a great question! Much like the previous post Minocycline has risks of photosensitive reactions. One of the ways to counteract this is in order to not get post treatment hyperpigmentation is to wait a few weeks before treating with Co2. I recommend you see a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who has laser training to get the best in person evaluation.
Minocycline is a photosensitizing antibiotic but is generally considered safe with co2 laser. Minocycline in rare circumstances can increase the risk of post laser pigmentation. While most specialists will perform co2 on patients on this antibiotic it may be safest to stop the antibiotic a few weeks before receiving laser treatment.
Make sure you call your doctor on Monday to check if you should or should not continue Minocycline. Your doctor may have prescribed an antibiotic medication for your treatment. I always encourage my patients to call my staff if they have any questions before a big procedure like Active FX. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible and answer all questions before the procedure. Good luck and you'll love the results!
No, there will not be a problem. In fact many doctors prescribe antibiotics during your recovery process from fractional Co2 lasers (like Active FX), if in doubt, and email or phone call to your specialist will clarify the situation. Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.

Fraxel Re:Pair is an old system, very old, and causes bulk heating= long time, more pain. Active FX is seriously 10 times faster to perform than Fraxel Re:Pair. Pain is not an issue for both as specialist will conduct nerve blocks and will always perform ablative high density lasers with...
Lips lines and festoons can be treated with ablative laser. This should be done by an expert in the field of laser dermatology or plastics. Festoons can improve by over 70% with ONE fully ablative laser treatment with a downtime of 10-12 days. Most importantly, its NOT the laser, its the ...
