I am scheduled for the ActiveFX this Tuesday. I am 50 years old and looking to smooth fine lines around my eyes and mouth area.I plan on taking 6 days off from work to recover. Realistically, is this enough time to recover? I really do not want anyone to know I had this procedure done. Please advise. Thank you.
Hello, my question is: I had Lumenis ActiveFX Fractional C02 Laser done 6 days ago and am noticing as my skin is fading from the overall redness, I am seeing areas/spots/lines that are very deep red in color. I have a couple that look like a scratch that are darker red. I'm afraid I've scratch myself unconsciously and am worried about scarring; will this heal by itself or should I be concerned? I can't submit a picture but hope this description is enough. Thank you for your comments.
I am 50 year old woman. I had a face lift approximately 6 months ago and am now interested in following up with CO2 laser. My question is do i choose Active fx + Deep fx or Deca dot laser treatment? I do not have acne problems. I am looking for a more youthful appearance. Wanting to address some wrinkles around eyes and mouth. Firmness, etc.
I'm on day 4, still very red & swollen. Feels like someone is going over my face with a barbwire rolling pin. I'm taking 800 mg of Advil every 8 hours but that's not stopping the irritation. I can't concentrate on anything to distract myself from it. Can't sleep either. I'm applying an Aloe Vera gel and Aquaphor 3 times a day but it burns a little. I very much wanted to have the Active FX procedure but now I am doubting I did the right thing.
Im 47 and had a mini lift along with upper and lower bleph. Ive had three ActiveFX treatments in the past and thinking of doing another and continuing annually. Are there any others treatments that I should consider doing along with the ActiveFX during the year to maintain the work Ive had done and possibly build collagen? Im happy with my current look and would like to maintain it as much as possible. Id also like to tighten some under my neck and have a good regimen w/Botox/Retina.
Friend had Active Fx about 2 mos back. She's 35 and had just a slight amount of laxity. So far, her skin looks pretty in that it has a new glow, but she mainly did it For tightening, and I don't see any difference. She doesn't see it either, but assures me it takes about 6 months for the tightening effect to kick in. Is that true? My doc recommend the same laser for tightening, but I'm not convinced that's the best option based on her results. Are Thermage or Ultherapy better/quicker? Thanks!
Is there any issue with having both done within a month of each other? I've also heard that a second round of profound RF after 6 months boosts the effects. Just want I get the best results for the money. Please advise.
I am a 46-year old, fair-skinned female, and because of constant maintenance, sunscreen and regular derm treatments, my skin is in fairly good condition for my age. I have had 2 different doctors recommend Active FX to treat wrinkles, scarring and tighten skin. I have done research and am pretty sold on the procedure, but I have 2 major concerns - How long is downtime REALLY? How long before you can be seen in public? And 2) I have mild rosacea - how will Active FX affect that? Thank you,
