Radiesse or Revanesse?

“Non”-surgical butt lift “non”sense, period.

I have unfortunately had many patients come to me after having their high hopes for buttock/hip augmentation crushed by measly Sculptra results or other "fillers" such as Radiesse, Renuva and Juvederm, etc. Other than the fact that these are not FDA approved for buttock/hip injections, here are some critical points of awareness: 1) they all are temporary, lasting 1.5 - 2 years at very most, 2) if done correctly dermal fillers like Sculptra or Renuva are cost prohibitive for 99% of potential buttock/hip augmentation patients. In order to create a significant/noticeable result with a dermal filler, at least 200 mls of active product (not just “total ccs of fluid injected” of which contains mostly saline not Sculptra) must be injected into each buttock cheek for a total of 400 mls. At $1000 per ml, this equates to a minimum price of $400,000.00. Thus if your doctor is recommending to put in ONLY 20 or 40 mls of these fillers you will pay $20,000-$40,000 and get an insignificant miniscule result! (eg. like a “drop in the ocean” effect), 3) Do not let anybody tell you that the product is so special that it's going to magically grow (collagen) over the following months or years...this just does not happen to any noticeable degree!, 4) dermal fillers, when injected in large quantities, have a relatively high infection rate, guaranteed tendency to migrate away from the original area they were injected into, and almost always stimulate a lot of inflammation with a subsequent and disastrous amount of scar tissue/hardening, and 5) the one very serious complication that can rarely ( less than 1%) happen is "embolism" in which some of the filler gets into the blood stream and travels up into the lungs, heart, and/or brain causing serious problems, including death.

As well, fat transfer to the outer butt and hip dips, especially on lean patients, has a poor survival rate and thus often slighted results.

The only relatively safe, reliable, and permanent option for buttock and hip dip augmentation is with implants.

However, when applied to larger areas like the breast or buttocks, there is a significantly higher risk of bodily reactions such as delayed hypersensitivity, inflammation, calcification, or necrosis. With hyaluronic filler, there is the option of an anti-filler injection (hyaluronidase) to dissolve the filler and administer antibiotics in case of complications. Conversely, there is no non-surgical method available to extract Radiesse if any issues arise. Additionally, achieving desired results with Radiesse requires multiple treatment sessions, thereby increasing the risk of non-dissolvable lumps.
As an expert in fat surgery, I suggest considering a safer approach, such as fat transfer. Although the resulting shape may not be as flawless as with fillers (due to fillers being more rigid than fat), at least you can achieve a secure and durable outcome.
Okay, both methods can be used for face, small quantity has lower possibility of body reject-reaction to injection, however use them for wide area like breast or butt has significant high risk of body reaction like delayed hypersensitivity/ inflammation / calcification/ necrosis.In case of hyaluronic filler, at least there is anti-filler injection (hyaluronidase), so if something will go wrong you can dissolve filler and take antibiotics. But in case of Radiesse, there is no non-surgical method to extract it. Also, to get result by radiesse, you have to repeat treatment session several times, that brings high risk of non-dissolve lumps
Among possible methods, liposuction for shaping and butt fat transfer might help. Slight improvement: [RT side only] fat transfer (harvesting might be from inner tights - slim down effect)Moderate improvement : [Both side] Liposuction of saddlebag area, back side and inner tights (underline butt line) and fill out butt and hips (hollowed area) by fat.
Fat transfer method is less invasive, but still surgical, however safer then filer or some kind of injections.

All the methods that you mentioned, including the BBL are temporary and do not give you long lasting results. The only method for butt augmentation that does not disappear with time is butt implants. I have performed butt implants surgery on well over 800 patients. About 300 of these patients had BBL before by another surgeon, yet they decided to get butt implants because the fat disappeared . Some of them had the BBL performed few times with same outcome. The butt implants come in different shapes (oval. round) and different sizes. They give you a very natural and attractive result with smooth skin, nice projection and round hips.
Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who perform lots of butt implants surgery in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery to make sure that they are numerous. natural and attractive.

If you want my honest opinion, although I use both of those products all of the time on the face with beautiful results, I would not waste my money injecting them or any filler in the buttocks.
Most fillers come in a syringe filled with 1cc of the filler. The cost is about $800 for 1cc. When I do BBL's, I inject between 200-1200cc per buttocks cheek. 200cc, will give you a very mild increase in size of your buttocks. If you want 200cc of filler....???? That's 200cc X $800/cc, or $160,000.00 per buttocks cheek! You better be rich!
If you have small dents or dimples on your buttocks, aka Cellulite, the best thing to do is treat the cellulite to get rid of the cellulite permanently. Don't waste your money trying to fill them out temporarily.
