Is facial fat transfer recommended? Seems some doctors aren't fans of it!

Late 30s. Thinking of getting facial fat transfer to temples, under eyes and lateral cheeks. I have been doing my research and most doctors seems to love facial fat transfer san a few say it's unpredictable, "injecting scar tissue", or it doesn't last. Can we put this to rest? I know fillers and sculptra are options too but I have done both and results are mediocre. Fat is natural and longer lasting it seems? Thank you

Hello, You may have some fullness now that you dislike but it is too early to consider that this will be there forever. Be patient if you can. If after 6 months (minimum) it can be liposuction through a very small cannula. Good luck.

Fat grafting (fat transfer) is commonly used to augment or round out forehead. One of the issues of fat grafting is that it should be repeated due to the absorption of some amount of fat.

Thank you for your query. You will benefit from some autologous fat transfer and perhaps some Botox. The forehead should smoothen out with these treatments. Please discuss your concerns with your Plastic surgeon who will be able to help you. All the best!

It looks like a lot of the ridges are due to muscle hypertrophy/muscle movement. Botox might help to calm these areas down. Fat grafting CAN be helpful buut against the bone it may not have the best survival.
