My goal was to fill in some jowl hollows. I was very chin "heavy" for a few weeks afterward but now that the swelling has gone down, it is very clear where the radiesse was injected....in two very specific areas. My chin was not lumpy like this before. He injected some under the chin, too, which you can see underneath. Will this still settle more or am I stuck with this for 6-12 months. I am freaking out.
Answer: Radiesse Is An Excellent Volumizing Filler, But Cannot Be Dissolved Easily First, let me say that I am sorry that you are experiencing this problem. As to the lumps, there is likely still edema fluid contributing to this, especially since you were just reinjected two days earlier, and edema may take as long as a month before completely resolving. So, you might be wise to hold off on any attempted corrective treatment until all edema is gone. Should the nodules persist after this time, there are couple of ways of attempting to deal with Radiesse-related nodules. These include the injection of saline and subcision to break up the Radiesse clumps and hasten their clearance. And, although hyaluronidase, the enzyme used to dissolve hyaluronic acid injectables, cannot technically be expected to dissolve Radiesse, it has been found to help in some cases. Finally, once this issue is resolved, I would strongly urge that you make certain to seek consultation with a board certified aesthetic physician with experience in nonsurgical facial volumization and contouring, since it is possible that more gratifying and natural-appearing results in the lower face and along your jawline might have been obtained by treating the cheeks and/or the posterior jawline, rather than concentrating directly upon the jowl hollows themselves, which very often can give rise to a heavy, boxy look. Best of luck.

Answer: Recommend massaging area with Plato's Scar Serum Radiesse is an FDA-Approved filler that we use very frequently in our office to sculpt the contours of the face. Since we are a national center of excellence for filler reversal, we also encounter patients from other doctors' offices who wish to have Radiesse fillers removed for one reason or another. In our office, we employ a directed technique to visualize the filler material, if possible on ultrasound, and then use non-surgical methods to dissolve the filler or granuloma tissue using intralesional injections. There are many methods using a combination of enzymes, intralesional modulators of scar tissue, and Kenalog to help reduce volume and remaining filler. These techniques require meticulous attention to detail and can be performed at intervals of two to three weeks to achieve longterm effect. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Willthe lumps from Radiesse go down? I had it injected 2 weeks and 2 days ago. Swelling , bruising, redness should be gone by the end of two weeks. The fact you still have lumps suggests you might be stuck with them for months. Radiesse cannot be dissolved like hyaluronic acid based fillers such as Juvaderm.

Answer: Radiesse in chin area You have to remember that all fillers are temporizing measures. Adding fullness to disguise jowl formation adds overall fullness where a surgical lift would correct the original problem. Massage may help resorb the filler faster. Good luck
