Areola Reduction ONLY. Possible? (photos)

Question

My goal is to have an areola reduction only. I am happy about size and shape of breast, just want smaller areola. Standard 1.5 inch areola would be great. 1st plastic surgeon I saw told me I would need a lift, implants, and tuberous breast correction and quoted me $15,000. 2nd plastic surgeon told me she would do a breast lift with an areola reduction, $8500. 3rd plastic surgeon told me no lift was needed, and quoted me $7000 for the areola reduction on its own. Thoughts?

Areola reduction is simple surgery which is done in local anesthesia in our office. Although you may benefit from breast lift which will include arela reduction, areola reduction itself is a good option for you. Good luck.

You can consider having an areola reduction only but the question is if that procedure will get you the results you want.  An in person evaluation is best but from the submitted photos it appears you will have the best results from a lift which also involves decreasing the size of the areola.  You can consider adding implants if you want extra volume or more upper pole fullness.

Dear butterflylala85, I think your request is reasonable and fairly simple and it shouldn't cost that much (see areola reduction donut Benelli lift below in this page)  The reason some plastic surgeons won't do unusual requests is that they're afraid patients will be unhappy with something they (the plastic surgeons) don't think will look good.  I think a donut lift (also known as a periareolar reduction) will have a very positive effect on the shape of your breasts rounding them up and making them less long in addition to reducing the actual diameter of your nipples.  You don't have to have implants if you don't want them.  Eventually you will find a surgeon that will work with you.

You can have just an areola reduction.  Your surgeons were giving you recommendations for the best results.  It is rare to just do an areola reduction when a breast lift is needed.
