Hello, thank you for your question.  An option that is available and very effective with very small chances of scarring is the Smoothbeam laser manufactured by Syneron/Candela.  The way the laser works, is the heat of the pulse penetrates deep in the tissue, stimulating collagen surrounding the sebaceous glands, actually shrinking down the size and re-shaping the oil glands so that they do not fill with sebum.  It is usually a series of treatments 3-4 done 1 month apart.
