How likely is VTE & stroke after mini face lift & rhinoplasty?

I'm due to have a rhinoplasty and mini face lift next week and can't help worrying about VTE and stroke risk with having a varicose vein behind my left knee and down calf, how likely is this

this is a great question for any patient to ask because these are potential risks though they are very unlikely even and your case with varicose veins.  Things that are done during surgery particularly if you are sedated and a mobile to prevent this R compression stockings and manual manipulation or movement of her legs during surgery by the nursing staff who were present. The short answer to your very good question is "not likely". A single varicose vein that involves the superficial venous system is not a marker for an increased risk for deep venous thrombosis (DVT). However, there are several risk factors that predispose patients to DVT. These can be tabulated using the modified Caprini scale.  If your overall risks are low and you have sequential compression stocking applied during your surgery you are very likely to do great. I recommend walking around the bedroom the night of surgery.  You should definitely discuss your concern with your surgeon now (several days prior to your surgery) and get his/her precise recommendations.
