What is this yellow/orange spot on the tip of my tooth? (Photo)

I have had this spot for years now, and its in only one tooth. I think i was told once that it is a type of birth mark on my teeth but it feels rough in that area when i rub my toung against it like if it was chipped but it's not. Its not sensitive or anything it is just stained and feels weird. This is the best picture i could take.

Hi:It appears you have decalcification on the tooth.  This can also happen as a result of trauma while the adult tooth was developing.  Normally nothing has to done unless it develops into a cavity.Best, Dr. Maddahi

Hi, it seems as though the spot is formed from childhood. This usually results due to having an illness during childhood when the tooth was developing. Its not urgent but should you wish to have treatment for it I would suggest to mask it using a filling material with microabrasion.

A lot of times spots like this are the result of a severe fever or illness as a child during the tooth development. As it is not super severe, I would look into some cosmetic bonding of the tooth.
