Saddle nose after septoplasty. How can this be treated?

I went to the highest rated ENT in my area to perform my Septoplasty and turbinate reduction (including removing my adenoids). Before the surgery I was worried about my nose changing shape and my doctor said there will “absolutely be no change.” Fast forward to now - there is a change in the shape of my nose. I went back to follow up and he said he barely notices it and he can add filler to fix it, but im worried that it might collapse if its the saddle nose deformity. Any advice?

Hi from Istanbul! To address the saddle nose deformity, reconstructing the nasal septum using septal or rib cartilage grafting can provide both structural support and aesthetic improvement. Alternatively, if you're considering a non-surgical approach, fillers could be an option, albeit non-permanently. Best of luck!

I agree that fillers can be a temporary fix. I think you need an internal exam to see what inside your nose could have contributed to this, such as a septal perforation. Long term correction would require a cartilage graft
