Is Ellanse reversible in case of ocular occlusion?

I was unaware that Ellanse is now available for use in the United States.  Ellanse consists of polycaprolactone which is a semi permanent dermal filler.   To answer your main question, it is definitely not reversible in the unfortunate case of ocular occlusion.  It is likely not reversible in cases where your results following your injection are not perfect.  Although it is a collagen stimulator the volume of the filler is what creates the changes that you will likely see in the areas of injection.

Ellanse is not dissolvable with hyaluronidase. To date, there have been NO cases of blindness resulting from vascular occlusion with Ellanse. As with any injectible/filler, this remains a potential risk which I counsel my patients for. Ellanse is not US FDA approved yet, but is widely available across Europe/Asia
