Is it safe to do CoolTone with a titanium rod in my back?

I had a titanium rod placed in my back as well as screws three years ago. I have no pain or discomfort at the fusion site. I am able to obtain a MRI with the hardware that is implanted if needed. Is it safe to do CoolTone?

CoolTone uses Magnetic Muscle Stimulation (MMS) . Titanium, unlike other metal implants, is not magnetic and does not conduct electricity. So it's safe to do CoolTone with Titanium rod in your back. It would still be best to consult with a board certified practitioner to discuss your current situation and options.

Unfortunately it is not safe as the metal or titanium can become heated and cause issues. The company recommends against any metal implant and use of CoolTone.
